                                 Release Notes
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think most of the older Max Roach releases have probably succombed to digital
cancer on the servers at this point. However, there's a recent posting from
last October of his Mercury label releases with the Plus Four. Trust me, I'm
grabbing that with both hands right now. (THANK YOU, [email protected]! Great
post!) I'll try to find a few later ones of Roach's so I don't double post
anything. Here's a rather ambitious effort of his from '62 and it definitely
shows modern jazz stylings coming into force.

I have a feeling this is probably an old Usenet download which I didn't save
the .log or .cue files on. Once I burnt stuff to disc back then I often didn't
save them. Probably wasn't a prudent practice, given how small .cue and .log
files are, but now you know what I know. Thirty years ago I really didn't think
there would come a time I'd feel the need to upload someone else's rips, let
alone move the whole damned music collection to a hard drive instead. Maybe
ten years from now I'll have it packed in a chip inside my skull. At least I
won't have to carry an Mp3 player in my pocket when I mow the yard. Anyhoo, if
you can tolerate the lack of .log and .cue files, then help yourself.

I'm making a habit of backing up everything I post - .rars, .pars and all - on
a separate hard drive. Hopefully I can re-up some of them later. Probably
haven't made a habit of advertising that in the NFO's, but there it is. I
don't know who put this one up originally so I can't give them credit. Wish I
could, but thanks, whoever you are.
