Arthur Blythe's 1985 release on the CBS label. Not really my taste in jazz,
but maybe you'll like it better. It doesn't appear to have been posted before
in the group, so I'll do it. This is a rip from a lossless music service I
use. (Tidal Music) It is supposed to be CD quality.
The stream was ran through an Asus Xonar XD card and as usual I used Cool Edit
Pro for the wave editing, using 48k/16 bit settings to sample it. Normally I
don't do much else other than trim the tracks to match what they are supposed
to be according to the release's documentation. Any residual system noise is
totally silenced between the tracks. It won't be a CD rip, but for most ears
it should sound basically the same. Track timings should be pretty close
(according to what the music service says), alhough not exact to the second.
Since it's a stream rip and not a CD rip, there won't be any .log or .cue
files. For that fact the hard core collectors might not want this one.
Otherwise, it's plenty good enough for casual listening. Just enjoy it for
what it is. Tracks are tagged and I always note the source of these rips in
the track tags. That lineage stuff is pretty important, after all. Here's the
