For your newsgroups file:
alt.binaries.dvdrs			Movies in DVD format.

Charter:
alt.binaries.dvdrs is for posting Movies in DVD format that are
requested or referred to by a group of people on a corresponding
website and irc channel. Posters should include a detailed .nfo file.

Outside of the DVD format, all other conversions are prohibited.
Movies not referred to the corresponding website or irc channel are
discouraged from being posted.

Unmarked off-topic materials, advertising (spam), excessive posting,
cancel attacks, virus infected binaries, and abusive cross postings
are prohibited. This is an unmoderated group.

Justification:
The current general dvd groups: a.b.dvd and a.b.dvdr are both
affiliated with irc rooms on efnet along with websites that promote
them. However, due to their size, they have been extremely difficult
to navigate. With a 10 day retention, you can expect about 2 million -
3 million posts. Part of this is because those of us affiliated with
#dvdrs and the website have posted to these groups. #Dvdrs members are
responsible for a significant amount of these posts.  The members of
#dvdrs have discussed the matter, and we have decided to create our
own group.

We would encourage our members who will be posting in regard to #dvdrs
to refrain from duplicating their posts in the a.b.dvd or a.b.dvdr
groups.  This would decrease the amount of postings in the previously
mentioned groups and allow a more focused area for people who are
involved in #dvdrs to find what they are looking for.
