alt.binaries.dvd.asian is for posting of Asian movies in DVD format.
Posters should include a detailed .nfo file.
(S)VCD, Divx, Xvid and other conversions are prohibited. Asian
animation in DVD format should be posted in alt.binaries.dvd.anime
Unmarked off-topic materials, advertising (spam), excessive posting,
cancel attacks, virus infected binaries, and abusive cross postings
are prohibited. This is an unmoderated group.
Justification:
The current DVD groups a.b.dvd and a.b.dvdr are very broad. As a
result, the large number of postings to these two groups have made
them hard to navigate. While Asian movies are very popular among their
fanbase, they do not appeal to a majority of people using the two main
DVD groups. Other foreign a.b.dvd sub-categories (a.b.dvd.french and
a.b.dvd.german) have been pretty successful.
